The Oxford City Council (Footpath No 320/111/20 University Ofoxfordold Road Campus, Roosevelt Drive, Headington, Oxford) Public Path Diversion Order No. 2 2022
On 12 October 2022 Oxford City Council confirmed the above Order under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (the Act).
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert the public footpath from Roosevelt Drive, Oxford as shown on the map in the Order by a bold black line from Roosevelt Drive Oxford commencing at Ordnance Survey grid reference SP 541645 063437 (point A on the map) then in a generally north-easterly direction for 64 metres to SP 542284 063625 (point B on the map), and to create an alternative footpath, as shown on the map in the Order by a broken black line, having a width of 2 metres and a resin bound surface or similar, from Roosevelt Drive Oxford commencing at Ordnance Survey grid reference SP 541645 063437 (point A on the map), then in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 10 metres to SP 541723 063471 (point C), then in north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 35 metres to SP 541981 063650 (point D), then in north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 25 metres to SP 542205 063715 (point E)) and then in south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 15 metres to SP 542284 063625 (point B).
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Oxfordshire County Library, Queen Street, Westgate, Oxford OX1 1DJ between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Fridays (excluding bank holidays and public holidays). The Order comes into force on the date upon which Oxford City Council certifies that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which the notice is first published as required by Paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
