The A64 Trunk Road (Askham Bar And Askham Byran) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the City of York, to enable carriageway repair works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to start on Monday 17 October 2022 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 5am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A64 westbound

(i) carriageway from the exit slip road at the A1036 Askham Bar to the entry slip road at the A1237 Askham Bryan, a distance of 1000 metres;

(ii) entry slip road at Askham Bar; and

(iii) exit slip road at Askham Bryan.

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and property, which is accessible from, and only from, the A64.
