Somerset County Council Pill Road, Highbridge in the Parishes of East Brent and Mark (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2022

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary traffic restrictions as specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 25th day of October 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on the 31st October 2022 until the 30* November 2022 to enable the removal of two cross over bellmouths following the construction of the Hinkley Connection Project (Overhead Line South). Schedule 1 Prohibition of Vehicles Pill Road, Highbridge - From a point 200 metres South of the junction with the A38 Bristol Road to the junction with Vole Road in a southerly direction

Schedule 2 Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Pill Road, Highbridge - From a point 1000 metres north east of the junction with Vole Road for a distance of 200 metres in an easterly direction

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
