(Wildcat Road & Summerlea Road, West Kilbride) Tree Preservation Order 2022
North Ayrshire Council hereby give notice that it appears to them as Planning Authority for North Ayrshire that it is expedient in the interest of maintaining the character and amenity of land lying generally to the south of the B7048 on either side of the footpath known as Wildcat Road or Lane and to the north of Summerlea Road, West Kilbride in the Parish of West Kilbride and County of Ayr to make provision for preservation of the trees specified in the Schedule hereto, which trees make an important contribution to the amenity of the area, and consequently the Council have made an Order under Section 160 of The Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 prohibiting the cutting down, topping, lopping, uprooting, wilful damage or wilful destruction of any tree specified in the said Schedule.
The Order shall take effect from 7th October 2022 and can be viewed on the Council's website

preservation-ordersaspx and copies of the Order and the map referred to therein may be inspected by any person, free of charge at West Kilbride Library, Halfway Street, West Kilbride KA23 9EQ between the hours of 10am to 1pm on Mondays ft Tuesdays; 2pm to 6pm on Thursdays and 10am to 1 pm ft 2pm to 4pm on Fridays and at Cunninghame House, Irvine KA12 8EE during working hours Objections or representations with respect to the Order may be made in writing to Legal Services in accordance with Regulation 5 of The Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation Order and Trees in Conservation Areas] (Scotland) Regulations 2010.
Any objection or representation must be in writing and shall be duly made if it states its grounds, specified the particular trees in respect of which it is made and is received by Legal Services no later than 11th November 2022 [within 28 days of this notice. 0.551 hectares of mainly mixed deciduous mature trees lying land lying generally to the south of the B7048 on either side of the footpath known as Wildcat Road or Lane and to the north of Summerlea Road, West Kilbride in the Parish of West Kilbride and County of Ayr.
