Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

CLEVELAND STREET
From its junction with Allan Street westwards for Hornet res, under the rail bridge
An alternative route will be signed via Albert Road, A167, St Cuthbert's Way, Freeman's Place, Haughton Road, Barton Street, Allan Street and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow works to install a CCTV monitoring system for the rail bridge
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 21" November 2022, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective between 2200hours and 0600hours for 3 nights.
