NOTICE OF MAKING THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (WATFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2018 (AMENDMENT) (NO. 13) ORDER 2022


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council has made the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under sections 1, 2, 4, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and Part 6 of The Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers. The Order will come into operation on Friday 7th October 2022. Copies of the order can be viewed on the Councils website, at www.watford.gov.uk/askparking.

The general effect of the Order is to amend waiting restrictions as follows:

- St Johns Road (North Side), replace no waiting at any time except taxis to Permit Holders Only (Zone B) 8am-10pm.

- Woodford Road (West Side) Conversion of 10 metres of no waiting at any time except taxis on the West Side of Woodford Road, north of St Johns Road to Limited Waiting 20 minutes no return within 1 hour.

- Woodford Road (West Side) Conversion of 26 metres of no waiting at any time except taxis on the West Side of Woodford Road, to Permit Holders Only (Zone B) 8am-10pm.

- Woodford Road (West Side) Introduction of No Waiting and No Loading at any time from Clarendon Road to the access of Woodford Court.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
