NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on the 6th October 2022 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The general effect of the free Order will be to make permanent the provisions of The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.141) Order 2021 The general effect of the Charged-for order will be to make permanent the provisions of The Barnet (Charged-for Parking Places) (Amendment No.100) Order 2021 The above mentioned Orders, which all came into operation on Monday 12th April 2021, introduced on an experimental basis, the following measures below:
Following a review of the social distancing measures introduced on street in 2020 at Watling Avenue between Burnt Oak Broadway and Gervase Road and in order to prioritise access for disabled badge holders, loading for business and to facilitate parking for visitors throughout business days the general effect of the above Orders will be to introduce, on an experimental basis, the following measures below:
1) in order to improve loading opportunity for local businesses the general effect of the free order will be to introduce loading only parking bays which will operate Monday to Sunday 7am to 8.30pm, and will allow continuous loading to take place for a maximum duration of 1 hour (No return within 2 hours) at the following locations below.

Outside No.22 to No.24 Watling Avenue, HA8

Outside No.44 to No.46 Watling Avenue, HA8

Outside No.39 to No.41 Watling Avenue, HA8

Outside No.88 to No.94 Watling Avenue, HA8
Approximately 12 metres
As a result of the introduction of the loading only parking bays at Watling Avenue mentioned above existing lengths of Paybyphone payment parking bays operating between the hours on 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday will be removed.
2) The operational times of the existing paybyphone payment parking bays on both side of Watling Avenue between the junctions of Burnt Oak Broadway and Gervase Road will changed from Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (Maximum stay 1 hour 30 minutes) to Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6pm (Maximum stay 1 hour 30 minutes).
3) The existing 'disabled badge holders only' parking bays situated outside No.94 to 96 Watling Avenue, outside No.43 Watling Avenue and at the side of No.42 Watling Avenue will operate 'At any time' with a maximum stay of 3 hours (No return with 2 hours).
A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Monday 10th October 2022 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking. consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
