(Essex Avenue to Cumberland Road Footpath, Moorside, Consett) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 30/9/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 50 metres of segregated footpath linking Essex Avenue (number 72) to Cumberland Road (number 42), Moorside, Consett to enable electric supply renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern side of the closure from Essex Avenue westerly then northerly on Cambridge Avenue and easterly on Cumberland Road to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 12/10/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 12 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
