Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Footway off Southmead (Part), Chippenham; from outside property No.142 Southmead to outside property No.148 Southmead to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation of meter in footway. Alternative route via Southmead - Footway off Southmead (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 October 2022 and the closure will be required for 3 days. B) Old Road (Part), Calne Without; from its junction with A4 to outside its property known as No.63 Old Road to enable Gigaclear Limited to locate and resolve blockages and associated works. Alternative route via Old Road (unaffected length) - A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 November 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. C) Minster Way (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Queens Crescent to its junction with York Close to enable Wessex Water to carry out replacement of manhole cover and associated works. Alternative route via Queens Crescent - Sarum Road - Minster Way (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. D) A429 (Part), Hullavington and St Paul Malmesbury Without; from its junction with C1 to its junction with Rodbourne Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A429 (unaffected length) - A433 - A4135 - A46 - A420 - A350 and vice versa. Alternative route for HGV via A429 (unaffected length) - A419 - M4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. E) Stype Lane (Part), Shalbourne; from its junction with Mill Lane to outside its property known as No.09 Bagshot.
F) Mill Lane (Part), Shalbourne; from its junction with Stype Lane to outside its property known as Lower Slope House to enable Openreach to carry out tree cutting, overhead cabling, underground cabling, jointing and associated works. Alternative route A via Stype Lane (unaffected length) - C30 -C74 - C197 - A338 and vice versa. Alternative route B via A338
G) C166 (Part), Stanton St Quintin and Seagry; from its junction with Clanville to outside its property known as Greenfields Farm to enable Global Utility Connections to carry out installation of new underground electricity supply and associated works. Alternative route via C166 (unaffected length) - C82 - C66 - B4069 - B4122 -A429 - C166 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 07 November 2022. Order A) will have a maximum duration of 06 months, Orders B) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (B4122, Kington Langley And Sutton Benger) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 40mph speed limit on B4122, Kington Langley and Sutton Benger - from its roundabout junction with A350 (M4 Junction 17) for a distance of approximately 1km in an easterly direction. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Chippenham Library, Timber Street SN15 3EJ during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9am to 1pm Wednesday and 9am to 7pm Thursday and Friday until 31 October 2022.
