(Ayr Road, Newton Meams) Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2022

On the 27 September 2022 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984.The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Ayr Road, Newton Mearns, from its junction with North Hillhead Road until M77 Junction 5 Roundabout, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works within or near the road, scheduled to be carried from Saturday 15 October until Sunday 30 October 2022. The closure will be required only for the Contractor's working hours of 0900 to 1600.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: A77 Ayr Road - Mearns Road - Eaglesham Road - A77 Ayr Road and vice versa.
