(Main Street, Barrhead) Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2022

On the 27 September 2022 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Main Street, Barrhead, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works within or near the road, scheduled to be carried from Monday 17 October until Friday 4 November 2022.

The works will be carried out in 2 phases:

Phase 1: Anticipated dates between Monday 17th October and
Sunday 23rd October 2022, eastbound carriageway. And
Phase 2: Anticipated dates between Monday 24th October and
Friday 4th November 2022, westbound carriageway.

The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes: Phase 1: Cross Arthurlie Street - Carlibar Road - Glen Street - Church Street,
And Phase 2: Church Street - Glen Street - Carlibar Road - Cross Arthurlie Street.
