Notice is hereby given that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-
20mph Speed Limit Applying To The Following Streets:

A copy of the Order which comes into operation on Monday 5th December 2022, a plan snowing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be requested by email at

traffic.calming@bury.gov.uk

quoting reference TM23/09/49.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 29th September 2022 apply to the High Court for that purpose. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public, inspection. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Back Bolton Rd South, Bury) Temporary Closure Order 2022

Notice Is Hereby Given
that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

Back Bolton Rd South, Bury - from its junction with Arthur St for a distance of 100 m in a southerly direction
The reason for the proposed order is to install a BT pole.

The alternative route will be via Arthur St, Wellington St & Buxton St & vice-versa The Order comes into operation on Tuesday 04 October 2022 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 1 day.
