NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U70216, Barrel Lane, Longhope, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U70216, Barrel Lane, Longhope, from the entrance to Heathfield, then southwards for approximately 300 metres. Grid Ref: 368082/221956. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Barrel Lane onto the A40, onto the C1281, onto the B4222, onto Barrel Lane and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to pole testing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 3rd of October 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
