Notice Under Article 13 Of Application For Planning Permission

Proposed development at Land to the East of Whitwell House, Front Street, New Durham, DH1 2EP. Amen Kareem gives notice that he is applying to Durham County Council for planning permission for the erection of retail unit and associated parking court. Any owner of the land or tenant who wishes to make representations about this application should write to Durham County Council, County Hall, DH1 5UQ within 21 days of the date of this notice.

The grant of planning permission does not affect owners rights to retain or dispose of their property, unless there is some provision to the contrary in an agreement or lease, but may affect agricultural tenants security of future. 'Owner' means a person with a freehold or leasehold interest the unexpired term which is not less than 7 years. 'Tenant' means a tenant of an agricultural holding any part of which is comprised in the land. Name of Applicant: Amen Kareem. Dated: 29th September 2022.
