(C62 and A691 Kaysburn Roundabout Langley Park) (Temporary Road Closure and Speed Restriction) Order 2022

The Council on 23/9/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit and restrict all vehicular traffic from proceeding on or travelling at excess speed as follows: Road closure a 940 metre length of C62 that extends southwards from A691 Kaysburn Roundabout to the Industrial Estate access road, and 40 mph Speed Restriction A691 from 145 metres west of the roundabout and extending eastward for 400 metres to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the northern side of the closure from A691 1. westerly to Lanchester then westerly on B6296 Station Road and southerly on B6301, south easterly toward Quebec then north easterly on Greenland Road and Low Moor Road to Langley Park 2. easterly to A167 Sniperley Roundabout then southerly on A167 to Crossgate Moor and then westerly through Bearpark to the junction leading to Front Street, Langley Park to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 1/10/22 from 7pm to 6am nightly and are anticipated to be completed in 9 nights. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
