Parish of Bishop's Hull Temporary Closure of Upcott Road and Barr Lane


Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Upcott Road - 70 metres north west of the junction with Barr Lane, southwards for a distance of 138 metres; and Barr Lane - from the junction with Upcott Road, north eastwards for a distance of 37 metres. A total distance of 175 metres. This Order will enable Western Power Distribution to change a pole and reconductor. The Order becomes effective on 13th October 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 17th October 2022 and last until 18th October 2022 between the hours of 09:00 -17:00 for a total of 2 days. Please visit
