Northumberland County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way For the County of Northumberland Definitive Map Modification Order (No 8) 2022

The above Order, made on 16th September 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:-Former Tynedale District

Bridleway / Footpath No 26 (Parish of West Allen)

Upgrading thereto to public bridleway status, existing Public Footpath No 26, from Byway Open to All Traffic No 37, at Keirsleywell Bank, 660 metres west of Fairplay (O.S. Grid Ref NY 7624 5071), in a general southerly direction for a distance of 2635 metres, to the Cumbria County boundary at Blacklaw Cross (NY 7579 4831). Footpaths Nos 12 & 27 and Byway Open to All Traffic No 37 (Parish of West Allen) The Definitive Statements for these existing public rights of way will be amended to reflect the upgrading of Footpath No 26 to public bridleway status. These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices of Queens Hall, Beaumont Street, Hexham, NE46 3LS and the offices of Legal Services, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF during normal working hours. Any representations or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Neil Masson, Legal Services Senior Manager, at the address shown below no later than 24th November 2022. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Northumberland County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
