THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL (VARIOUS STREETS, CHALE) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER NO 1 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in exercise of their powers under section 1 (1), 2(1) (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended ('the Acf of 1984), part 4 of Schedule 9 to the act of 1984, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with The Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part 3 of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 propose to make an order the effect of which will be to: 1.To revoke the provisions of The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Chale) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2007'. 2. To re-enact the provisions contained therein subject to the following amendments:
a. To introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking restriction in the following length of road:
Blackgang Old Road, on both sides, from its junction with Blackgang Road to a point 156 metres south-west thereof.
b. To revoke 'No Waiting at Any Time, 1 June to 30 September1 in the following lengths of road:
Blackgang Old Road, on the north-west side, from a point 95 metres south-west to a point 148 metres south-west of its junction with Blackgang Road.
Blackgang Old Road, on the south-east side, from a point 104.5 metres south-west to a point 181 metres south-west and southeast of its junction with Blackgang Road.
c. To revoke 'No Waiting at Any Time' Parking restriction in the following lengths of road:
Blackgang Old Road, on the south-west side, from a point 153.5 metres south-west to a point 300.5 metres south-east of its junction with Blackgang Road. The amendments are being proposed to facilitate the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians) and for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
A copy of the draft Order, this Notice and the relevant plan may be inspected between normal office hours at the Customer Service Centre, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight during the objection period.
