Oxfordshire County Council

(Bladon Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order - in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish council - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Bladon, replacing the majority of the existing 30mph speed limit, leading out to the following points:

1. A4095 Grove Road - a point 26 metres northeast of its junction with Home Farm Close, and

2. A4095 Main Road - a point 55 metres southwest of its junction with Manor Road.

Thereafter, the remaining 30mph speed limit on Grove Road northwards to the A44 Oxford Road roundabout junction, and the current 50mph speed limit on Main Road leading southwards to Hanborough will remain as currently signed, with Officers having taken into account the current road environment & traffic usage.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Bladon Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2001 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

(Steeple Barton & Westcot Barton Parishes)
(Speed Limits) Order 2022

NOTICE is given that on 26 September 2022 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 1 October is as follows:

1. To introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Steeple & Westcot Barton, with the existing 30mph speed limit being replaced - leading outwards to the following points:

a. B4030 Enstone Road - a point 327 metres southwest of its junction with the unnamed road to Sandford St Martin,

b. B4030 North Street - a point 140 metres northeast of its junction with Holliers Crescent,

c. Church Lane - a point 575 metres east of its junction with Mill Lane (an extension of 211 metres),

d. Kiddington Road - a point 330 metres south of its junction with South Street (an extension of 226 metres),

e. Worton Road - a point 122 metres north of its junction with Hillside Road, and

f. Sandford St Martin Road - a point 308 metres northwest of its junction with the B4030 Enstone Road.

2. To introduce a 30mph speed limit at the western end replacing the existing 60mph National Speed Limit as follows:

B4030 Enstone/Middle Barton Road - from a point 285 metres southwest of its junction with Sandford St Martin Road south-westwards for a distance of 295 metres.
3. To introduce 40mph speed limits on two roads at the eastern end of the village, replacing the existing 60mph National Speed Limit as follows:

a. B4030 North Street - from a point 140 metres northeast of its junction with Holliers Crescent eastwards to a point 55 metres east of its junction with Duns Tew Road, and

b. Duns Tew Road - from its junction with the B4030 North Street north­eastwards for a distance of 105 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Steeple Barton & Westcot Barton Parishes) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 is revoked/replaced. Documents giving more details of the order are available for public inspection online by visiting:

Oxfordshire County Council (Eynsham Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2022
NOTICE is given that on 26 September 2022 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which came into force on 01 October is to:
1. Introduce a 20mph speed limit (in place of 30mph) throughout Eynsham village leading out to the following points:

a. Cassington Road (west) - to the B4449 roundabout

b. Hanborough Road - its junction with B4449 Cassington Road (including the small stretch of 40mph speed limit),

c. Hazeldene Close - its junction with the B4449

d. Oxford Road - its junction with the B4044 roundabout,

e. Station Road - Its junction with B4449 roundabout, and

f. Witney Road - its junction with the A40.

2. A 30mph speed limit for the following roads:

a. Cassington Road (east) - north-eastwards from the B4449 to a point 235 metres southwest of its junction with the A40.

b. Chilbridge Road for its entire length

c. Pinkhill Lane for its entire length

3. And 40mph speed limits (mainly replacing the current 50mph) on the 'main' roads surrounding/approaching the village, as follows:

a. B4044 Oxford Road from its junction with the B4449, south-eastwards to the existing 30mph speed limit at Swinford Bridge,

b. B4449 (east and south of Eynsham) from its roundabout junction with the A40 Oxford - Witney Road, southwards to its roundabout junction at Old Station Way/Station Road

The Oxfordshire County Council (Eynsham Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2020 is revoked/replaced.

Management) (Consolidation) (Variation No.26) Order 2022
2. (Parking Places For Pedal Cycles, Oxford) Consolidation
(Amendment) Order 2022
NOTICE is given that on 26 September 2022 Oxfordshire County Council made the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The below measures were first introduced under an Experimental Order on 24.12.20 (and further modified in March 2021). The measures have now been brought into effect permanently from 10 October 2022. The effect of the orders (unchanged) is:
1) to create a gated safe area (Prohibition of Vehicles) in North Parade Avenue for businesses to provide on-street retail facilities to the public by prohibiting vehicles from part of the road from November to March - all days between 10am and 6.30pm and April to October - all days between 10am and 9pm; with access exemptions provided for a) Emergency service vehicles, and b) Residents of Nos.75B, 75C & 77 Banbury Road, and Nos.15 & 16 Winchester Road.

2) The existing One-Way traffic requirements will be suspended during the above business hours to allow access and egress for exempted vehicles.

3) The cycle parking facility outside Nos.5/7 North Parade Avenue has been moved to west of the Rose and Crown PH, and the current 30 minute waiting area removed.

Additional:
The street market that operates every 2nd and 4th Saturday (8am to 3pm) will continue to run without interruption.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Walton Manor, Oxford) (Parking Places and Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 and The Oxfordshire County Council (Parking Places for Pedal Cycles, Oxford) Consolidation (Variation) Order 2009, are further amended accordingly. If you wish to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within 6 weeks from 26 September 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose. 1. (North Summertown) (Controlled Parking Zone And Waiting Restrictons (Variation No.32*) Order 20** 2. (Oxford Area - Various Streets) (Traffic Management) (Variation No.4*) Order 2022
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Various Streets) (Traffic Management) Order 2022, and the Oxfordshire County Council (North Summertown) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2007 will be further amended accordingly. The effect of the proposal for order 1 is to:
(i) Reduce by approximately 6 metres, the 3 hour parking place where permit holders are exempt from the time limit outside 45 Davenant Road;

(ii) Reduce by approximately 11 metres, part of a permit holders' only parking place outside 41d and 41e Davenant Road;

(iii) Reduce by approximately 9 metres, the 2 hour parking place where permit holders are exempt from the time limit outside 35 Davenant Road;

(iv) Reduce by approximately 11 metres, the 2 hour parking place where permit holders are exempt from the time limit outside 34 Davenant Road;

(v) Reduce by approximately 10 metres, the 2 hour parking place where permit holders are exempt from the time limit outside 26, 28a and 28 Davenant Road;

(vi) Remove part of a permit holders only parking place outside 18 and 20 Davenant Road approximately 14 metres in length to accommodate an existing vehicle access;

(vii) Remove part of a permit holders' only parking place outside 3 to 9 Davenant Road approximately 18 metres in length to accommodate an existing buildout and vehicle access;

(viii) Reduce by approximately 8 metres in length, part of the 2 hour parking place where permit holders are exempt from the time limit, outside 1 Davenant Road.

The above changes include areas to accommodate new 'buildouts' intended to protect trees and provide a degree of traffic calming. The effect of the proposal for order 2 is to introduce: Prohibition of Entry against any motor vehicle from turning from the A40 Sunderland Avenue into Blandford Avenue and the Sunderland Avenue south side service road at its easternmost junction with the A40 -approximately 100 metres west of its junction with the A40 Cutteslowe roundabout. The prohibition will be supported by No Right & Left Turns on the eastern and western approaches as appropriate. Exemptions will apply to emergency service vehicles and cycles. Exit onto the A40 remains unrestricted.

(Benson And Ewelme Area) (Speed Limits) Order 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - as result of the Benson relief road project - is to reduce existing speed limits within Benson in the vicinity of the 'Elm Bridge' roundabout as follows:
1. Extend the existing 30mph speed limit on the B4009 Oxford Road northwards to its junction with the A4074 Henley Road ('Elm Bridge') roundabout junction, replacing that length of the 60mph National speed limit in the process, and

Extend the existing 30mph speed limit on the B4009 Oxford Road northwards to its junction with the A4074 Henley Road ('Elm Bridge') roundabout junction, replacing that length of the 60mph National speed limit in the process, and
2. extend the existing 40mph speed limit on the A4074 Henley Road northwards to a point 175 metres north of the 'Elm Bridge' roundabout, replacing that length of the 60mph National speed limit in the process.
