Notice Of Confirmation Of Modification Order Section 53 Of The Wildlife And Countryside Act 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire South Newington Footpath No. 21 Modification Order 2019

On the 8 September 2022, an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: -adding to them the footpath from the unclassified highway as shown on the List of Streets at the eastern end of Moor Lane South Newington at grid reference SP 4122 3342, leading east southeast for approximately 170 m to SP 4138 3338.

The order as confirmed became operative on the date of confirmation but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, on the ground that it is not within the powers of section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 29 September 2022, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
