LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

(ELM WALK, SW20)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to service pipe relay works in Elm Walk, Raynes Park, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Elm Walk, between the common boundary of Nos. 134 and 136 Elm Walk and the north­west flank wall of No. 131 Elm Walk; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub­paragraph 2(a) above; or

(c) enter or proceed in the south-west footway of Elm Walk between the common boundary of Nos, 134 and 136 Elm Walk and a point 2 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 126 and 130 Elm Walk.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Southway, Parkway and Cannon Hill Lane or vice^versa.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works; or

(e) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises in or adjacent to the length of footway specified in sub-paragraph 2(c) above.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into operation on Thursday 13th October 2022 with the works expected to be completed on 18th October 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(DURNSFORD ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water service connections and ancillary works in Durnsford Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in a north-westerly direction in Durnsford Road to turn left into Pitt Crescent; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Durnsford Road, from its junction with Endeavour Way to a point 16 metres south-east of the common boundary of No. 120 and No. 138 Durnsford Road; or

(c) enter or proceed in the south-western footway of Durnsford Road, outside Nos 144 and 146 Durnsford Road.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

5. Access to Pitt Crescent will be maintained at all times.

6. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the adjacent temporary walkway.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into operation on Wednesday 12th October 2022 and remain in force for 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(QUEENS ROAD, MITCHAM)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gutter clearance using a cherry picker and associated works in Queens Road, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Queens Road, Mitcham, the west to east arm, between its junction with Phipps Bridge Road and its easternmost extremity; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the length of Queens Road specified in sub­paragraph (a) above; or

(c) enter or proceed in Queens Road, Mitcham, the southern footway, from a point 8 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Phipps Bridge Road to its easternmost extremity.

3. Any designated parking place situated on the north side of the west to east arm of Queens Road, from a point 16 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Phipps Bridge Road eastward for a distance of 36 metres would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Queens Road is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring pedestrian or vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or length of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 19 October 2022 and it is anticipated that the works would be carried out that day between the hours of 8am and 5pm. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(BENEDICT ROAD, CR4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to install new electrical services and associated works in Benedict Road, CR4, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would: -

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Benedict Road, CR4, from the common boundary of No. 1 Benedict Road and Benedict Villa, Benedict Road and a point 5 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 8 Benedict Road; or

(b) enter or proceed in the footways of Benedict Road which lie from a point 2 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 4 and 5 Benedict Road to a point 2 metres north-east of the said common boundary.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions in any emergency.

6. Pedestrian access to the properties adjacent to the lengths of footway specified in paragraph 2(c) above would be maintained at all times.

7. Pedestrians affected by the footway closures should proceed using pedestrian walkways provided.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order would come into operation on Monday 24th October 2022 and It is anticipated that the works would take 8 days to complete. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(MANSEL ROAD AND WIMBLEDON HILL ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate crane works in Mansel Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic In the said road and in Wimbledon Hill Road.

2. During the worksi­te) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Mansel Road, SW19, between its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road and the common boundary of Nos. 6 and 8 Mansel Road;

(b) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:-

(i) the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above; or

(ii) Wimbledon Hill Road, between its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road and a point 10 metres north-west of the common boundary of The Oaks and Holly Lodge, Wimbledon Hill Road;

(c) no person would enter or proceed in the north-western footway of the length of Mansel Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above

3. During the worksi­te) any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified In paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended; (b) the south-east bound bus lane in Wimbledon Hill Road between a point 10 metres north-west of the common boundary of The Oaks and Holly Lodge, Wimbledon Hill Road, and Mansel Road would be suspended.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Wimbledon Hill Road, High Street, Wimbledon, Ridgway, Ridgway Place, Worple Road and Raymond Road or vice-versa.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring pedestrian or vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 24th October 2022 with the works expected to be carried out until Friday 28th October 2022 Inclusive. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.
