LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(GALPINS ROAD AND BERKSHIRE WAY)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate repair works and other associated works in Galpins Road following a gas explosion and further to temporary notices issued under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act they intend to make an Order which would temporarily restrict traffic in Galpins Road and in Berkshire Way.
2. During the works, no person would: -
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Galpins Road, between its junction with Berkshire Way and the common boundary of Nos. 288 and 290 Galpins Road; or
(ii) Berkshire Way, between its junction with Radnor Close and its junction with Galpins Road; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above; or
(c) enter or proceed on foot in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in Galpins Road.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closures should proceed using Berkshire Way and Yorkshire Road as necessary, South Lodge Avenue, Chestnut Grove, Commonside East and the newly constructed temporary road on Mitcham Common leading to Galpins Road.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) to any vehicle engaged in the execution of any works; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with any works; or
(e) so as to prevent authorised persons from entering or proceeding on the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above.
7. Any vehicle that is in contravention of the temporary restrictions at a time when these restrictions apply may be removed in accordance with the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Friday 7th October 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 12 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works would be completed within 4 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(PORTLAND ROAD, MITCHAM)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas trial hole works in Portland Road, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Portland Road, Mitcham, from its junction with Western Road, south-westward for a distance of 10 metres; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in subparagraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions in any emergency; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties adjacent to road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Lewis Road and Western Road.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 24th October 2022 and it is anticipated that the works would take 12 days to complete. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(AMBERLEYWAY, SM4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate planned telecommunication pole replacement works in Amberley Way, SM4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Amberley Way, from its junction with Hartland Way to its south-easternmost extremity; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Amberley Way is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.
4. The restriction and suspension will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in this Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. The Order will come into force on Wednesday 12th October 2022, with the works anticipated to be completed on Friday 14th October 2022. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(LOWER MORDEN LANE, SM4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2022
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works to be undertaken in Lower Morden Lane, SM4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will:-
(a) enter or proceed on the northern footway of Lower Morden Lane, from its easternmost junction with the Beverley Roundabout to a point 4 metres east of the western boundary of No. 194 Lower Morden Lane; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in Lower Morden Lane, between its easternmost junction with the Beverley Roundabout and the common boundary of Nos. 190 and 190a Lower Morden Lane other than in a westbound direction (vehicles will be prohibited from using the eastbound lane); or
(c) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Lower Morden Lane, both sides, between its easternmost junction with the Beverley Roundabout and the common boundary of Nos. 190 and 190a Lower Morden Lane.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Lower Morden Lane specified in paragraph 2(b) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using the Beverley Roundabout, Tudor Drive(B279) and the A24.
6. Pedestrian traffic affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite and the footways around the Beverley Roundabout.
7. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. Nothing in the Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian or vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the lengths of road specified in paragraphs 2(a) and 2(b) as applicable, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
9. The Order will come into operation on Monday 10th October 2022, with the works anticipated to be carried out that day between the hours of 10am and 4pm. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(CHESTNUT GROVE, CR4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works in Chestnut Grove, CR4, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works:-
(a) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Chestnut Grove, between its junction with South Lodge Avenue and a point 6 metres south of the common boundary of Nos. 170 and 168 Chestnut Grove; or
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Sherwood Park Road and Fern Avenue or Conway Gardens, Carisbrooke Road and South Lodge Avenue.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 17th October 2022 with the works anticipated to be completed on Friday 21st October 2022. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(UNIVERSITY ROAD, COLLIERS WOOD)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate Thames Water works in High Street, Colliers Wood, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in University Road.
2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in University Road, from its junction with High Street, Colliers Wood, north-westward for a distance of 15 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of University Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of University Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or that length of road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Denison Road, College Road and High Street, Colliers Wood or vice-versa.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into force on Wednesday 26th October 2022 and it is expected that the works would be completed within 2 days. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.
