SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) The Borough (Part), Downton; from its junction with B3080 to its junction with Green Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 26 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. B) Earls Court Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Parsonage Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a westerly direction. C) Boscombe Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Parsonage Road to its roundabout junction with Porton Road. D) Boscombe Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Porton Road to its junction with Underwood Drive. E) Underwood Drive (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Boscombe Road to its junction with Chambers Avenue to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. Alternative route B via Earls Court Road (unaffected length) - Smithfield Street - A345 - London Road - Porton Road and vice versa. Alternative route C, D and E via Boscombe Road (unaffected length) - Porton Road - Main Road - Stockport Road - Stockport Avenue - Underwood Drive (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 11 November 2022. Alternative route southbound via Castle Street (unaffected length) - Blue Boar Row -Winchester Street - Brown Street - St Anns Street - Exeter Street - A338 - A36. This Order will come into operation on 06 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 for 1 night. G) C298 (Part), West Tisbury; from its property known as Pyt Court to outside its property known as Park House to enable BT to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C298 (unaffected length) - C61 - C300 - C299 - C43 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. H) Sherfield English Road (Part), Landford; from outside its property known as Lyndale to outside its property known as Broad Oak to enable BT to carry out communication, maintenance and associated works. Alternative route via Sherfield English Road (unaffected length) - Pound Hill - Church Lane - Giles Lane - A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 23:59 until 14 October 2022. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Quidhampton, Wilton and Netherhampton) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Quidhampton, Wilton and Netherhampton) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2014 and re-enact it in the above Orders and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on A3094 Netherhampton Road, Netherhampton and Salisbury - from a point 475 metres west of its junction with Wellworthy Drive for a distance of 380 metres in a westerly direction. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
