LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Section 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. In order to prevent obstructive parking, improve traffic flow, sightlines and general road safety, the general effect of the Free Order would be to introduce new and amend existing waiting restrictions in the borough as follows:
1. New 'at any time' waiting restrictions would be provided around the junctions of Clovelly Avenue and Colindeep Lane NW9; Brent Way and Fursby Avenue N3; Chesterfield Road and Fursby Avenue N3; Brookfield Crescent and Brookfield Avenue NW7 (Northern arm); Brookfield Crescent and Brookfield Avenue NW7(Southern arm); Brookfield Avenue and Brookfield Close NW7; Hendon Lane and Cyprus Road N3 and Wickliffe Avenue and Hendon Lane N3.
2. New lengths of No waiting 'at any time' restrictions would be provided at the locations as follows:
- outside No.2 Cranbourne Gardens NW11 and would be approximately 9 metres in length.
- opposite Greenlawns, Hendon Lane N3 and would be approximately 9 metres in length.
3. The general effect of the Free Order would be to formalise existing lengths of waiting restrictions in the borough as follows:
- Existing No waiting restrictions operating 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday situated on the southwest side of Brookhill Road EN4 between No.38 Brookhill Road and Doggetts Close.
- Existing No waiting restrictions operating 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday situated on the northeast side of Edward Road EN4 outside No.5a to No.7 Edward Road.
In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Order would be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which would be applicable to each bay, outside No.70 Ingleway N12.
A copy of the proposed Order, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 28 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking. consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.
