THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to prevent obstructive parking, improve traffic flow, sightlines and road safety, the general effect of the Free Parking Places Order would be to introduce new 'at any time' waiting restrictions around the following junctions:
- Ridgeway Avenue and Cat Hill EN4
- Wolsey Grove and Milling Road HA8
- Alderton Way and Rundell Crescent NW4
- Alderton Crescent and Alderton Way NW4, by converting existing Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restriction.
- Alderton Crescent and Vivian Avenue NW4, by converting existing Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restriction.
- Arundel Gardens and Horsecroft Road HA8
The Order would also introduce new 'at any time' waiting restrictions on certain lengths of roads as follows:
- Belmont Avenue EN4, near its junction with Cat Hill, adjacent to Nos. 103 and 105 Cat Hill
- Alderton Way NW4, south side, between its junctions with Rundell Crescent and Alderton Crescent, by converting existing Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restriction
- Alderton Way NW4, north side, certain lengths between its junctions with Rundell Crescent and Alderton Crescent, by converting certain lengths of Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restriction
- Alderton Crescent NW4, west side, between its junctions with Vivian Avenue and Alderton Way, by converting existing Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restriction
- Page Street NW7, west side, between 1-24 Randall Court and No. 145 Page Street, by converting the existing Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm on event days
- Page Street NW7, west side, at its junction with Tudor Close
- Page Street NW7, west side, between No.147 Page Street and its junction with Wise Lane
- Page Street NW7, east side, between its junctions with Bunns Lane and Wise Lane, by converting existing Sunday 1pm to 6pm on event days waiting restriction
- Oak Lane N2, north side, between its junctions with High Road and Brownswell Road
- Oak Lane N2, south side, between its junction with High Road and Berwick House.
- St David's Place NW4, at the turning head, by converting a length of existing Monday to Friday 11am to 12midday waiting restriction.
At any time' loading restrictions would also be introduced on Page Street NW7, east side, between its junctions with Bunns Lane and Wise Lane.
The general effect of the Orders would also be to introduce a new length of Permit Holders Only parking bay operational Sundays 1pm to 6pm on event days, on Page Street NW7, north of No. 149 Page Street, and reduce a length of existing permit holders only parking bay on Page Street NW7, north of Tudor Close
A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plans of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking. consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR479, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking. consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
