NOTICE OF PROPOSAL THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (RIVERSIDE ROAD AREA, WATFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES - ZONE Z) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and Part 6 of The Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act. The general effect of the Order will be: (A) To introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) (in the form
of a Permit Parking Area (PPA)) titled Riverside Road Area Zone Z within the following roads:
Riverside Road, Blackwell Drive, The Coppice, Colne Avenue, Waterman Close, Crossmead and
Lutreola Close. The restricted hours of the PPA being Monday to Saturday 1pm to 3pm.
A breakdown of the permit charges is as follows:
Type of Permit - First CPZ Residents' permit
Proposed Cost - £25 per permit
Type of Permit - Second CPZ Residents' permit
Proposed Cost - £55 per permit; £25 per permit for a motorcycle
Type of Permit - CPZ Residents' Visitor -Short Stay - one hour permit
Proposed Cost - £4.50 for 40 permits; £2.25 for 40 permits if 60 years or over
Type of Permit - CPZ Special Permit
Proposed Cost - Not greater than £25 if first in household or £55 per permit if second
Visitor Permit (Short Stay) allowance per household of 120 hours per annum (240 per annum if the applicant is aged 60 or over)
(B) To retain all existing areas of No Waiting at Any Time within these roads and incorporate these No Waiting at Any Time restrictions into the above named order.
(C) To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restriction for 5 metres either side of the access to the Riverside Works Industrial Units, and within the turning circle adjacent to Lutreola Close.
(D) To introduce a No Waiting Monday to Saturday 1pm to 3pm on the North Side of Riverside Road adjacent to properties 85-109 and 115 -123.
