NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH CB15A (PART) NEWTOWN ISLE OF WIGHT DIVERSION ORDER NO. 1 2022
The above order, made on 15 September 2022, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will stop up a section of Public Footpath CB15A: starting at its junction with public footpath CB9 at grid reference 41990 90952 running in a general east north east direction on the northern side of a post and wire fence demarking the southern boundary of a salt marsh for approximately 128 metres and then turning south and continuing for approximately 22 metres to its junction with a National Trust path providing access to its observation post; and create an alternative footpath instead: starting at its junction with public footpath CB9 at Grid Ref. 41992 90932 heading north east north across a meadow for approximately 132 metres to its junction with both public footpath CB15A and the aforesaid National Trust path providing access to its observation post. A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Customer Service Centre, County Hall, High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD during normal office hours. Copies of the Order and Map may be obtained there free of charge. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Rights of Way Manager, County Hall, High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD not later than 21 October 2022. This should state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Isle of Wight Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
