Darlington Borough Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Temporary Road Closure) 2022 A167 North Road, Darlington(ii)

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

North Road
From the south side of Bonoml Way Junction southwards to High Northgate High Northgate
From North Road southwards to the north side of McNay Street junction
An alternative route will be signed via Northgate,
St Cuthbert's Way, Freeman's Place, Haughton
Road, Haughton Green, Stockton Road, Whinfield
Road, Salters Lane North and vice versa.
The Order is necessary to allow works to repair
and repaint the rail bridge.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure
under this Order is 18 months commencing from
7th November 2022, it is anticipated that the
closure will be effective between 2300hours and
0600hours for 5 nights.
