Drake Street, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 City Of Bradford Metropolitan District Council Bridge Street And Drake Street, Bradford Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Bridge Street and Drake Street, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Bridge Street and Drake Street as follows:-
Bridge Street (outbound only) - from its junction with Hall Ings to its junction with Drake Street
Drake Street - from its junction with Bridge Street to a point at the side of Victoria Hotel

Provided that such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available as follows:-
Bridge Street (Leeds Road bound) - via Hall Ings, Leeds Road, Shipley Airedale Road, Wakefield Road Gyratory and Croft Street. Bridge Street (Manchester Road bound (including Drake Street)) - via Hall Ings, Manchester Road and Croft Street.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 23:59 hours on the 5th October 2022 and remain in force until 4:00 hours on the 6th October 2022 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
