Temporary Closure of Revels Hill & Gales Hill, Buckland Newton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 until 16:00 on 11th October 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25th October 2022.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works. The effect of this Order is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads, Buckland Newton as listed [i] Revels Hill, Cosmore from outside Revels Fishery & Tackle Shop to Gales Hill [ii] Gales Hill, Buckland Newton from Revels Hill to a point 690 metres to the south of Park Pale (in both directions), an overall distance of approximately 810 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Various Roads, Buckland Newton as listed [i] Revels Hill, Cosmore from outside Revels Fishery & Tackle Shop to Gales Hill [ii] Gales Hill, Buckland Newton from Revels Hill to a point 690 metres to the south of Park Pale (in both directions), an overall distance of approximately 810 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. Temporary Traffic Management Order of St Thomas Street, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 September 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 November 2022. Timings will vary during this period, signing on site will indicate the specific information.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out weld repairs to bridge deck.
The effect of this Order is as follows and as indicated by signs on site;
[1] To impose temporary road closure on the Town Bridge, St Thomas
Street - Pedestrian access will be unaffected
[2] To impose the reversal of the one way system on St Marys Street
for its enitirety to allow access for deliveries
There will be periods where temporary traffic signals will be utilised
to enable access.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Blagdon Hill, Martinstown
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BLAGDON HILL, MARTINSTOWN from outside East Rew Farm to outside Hardys Monument Industrial Park (in both directions), a distance of approximately 320 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 until 17:00 on 17th October 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30th October 2022.
This Order will enable National Grid Company to carry out works including the removal of the Bell Mouth crossing point and reinstatement of the roadside verge/bank.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using Blagdon Hill, B3159, Coombe Road and vice versa.

Temporary Closure of Friar Waddon Road, Friar Waddon
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FRIAR WADDON ROAD, FRIAR WADDON between the entrance to Corton Farm and the entrance to Friar Waddon House, a distance of approximately 150 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 September 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 October 2022.
This Order will enable National Grid Company, safe access to carry out removal of the bell mouths.
An alternative route will be signed using: Winters Lane - Front Street - Portesham Hill - C112 - B3159

Temporary Closure Of Swannery Bridge Junction, Weymouth (Night Works)
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Swannery Bridge junction Weymouth, in all directions. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 September 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 October 2022. The works will take place between 2100hrs and 0600hrs.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3075 Chitten Hill, Sherford from the junction with A35 to outside Corner Cottage, Sherford in both directions), a distance of approximately 340 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17th October 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th November 2022.
This Order will enable Dorset Council Structures Team to replace Corner Cottage Culvert.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
