Temporary Closure of Unnamed Road, Hawkchurch
Dorset Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Unnamed Road, Hawkchurch between its junction with B3165 and the entrance to Portobello Cottage, a distance of approximately 200 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 10 October 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 October 2022.
This Order will enable Openreach, safe access for progression of overhead and underground works.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Champernhayes Lane - Spence Lane - Monkton Wyld Lane - Pound Lane - B3165

Temporary Closure of South Street, Bridport
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along SOUTH STREET, BRIDPORT between its junction with Doctor Roberts Close and its junction with South Walk, a distance of approximately 200 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 September 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 07 October 2022.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to work collaboratively with Wessex Water to upgrade drainage and sewer systems.

Urgent Temporary Closure of Sherborne Lane, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Sherborne Lane, Lyme Regis outside Cobblestones, Sherborne Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 20 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20th October 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9th December 2022. This Order will enable a building contractor to carry out urgent roofing repairs. There will be no alternative route on this occasion as Sherborne Lane is a dead end lane.
