Crossing, Grange Over Sands) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) (No.2) Order 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 22 August 2017, which became operative on 25 August 2017, due to the likelihood of danger to the public and which would otherwise expire on 6 October 2022 : has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 April 2023.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Bailey Lane, Grange-Over-Sands from its junction with the U5837 extending in a south easterly direction over the level crossing for approx.15m. There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians. If the works have not been completed within the extension period, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the appropriate Minister.
