The M65 Motorway (Junctions 7-10 Carriageways) (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M65 Motorway, in the Boroughs of Hyndburn and Burnley, in the County of Lancashire, to enable barrier replacement works, fencing, lighting, traffic signage, and drainage works, earthworks retention/widening, and other general maintenance; to be carried out in safety. The Order will impose a 50 mph speed limit on the following sections of the M65 Motorway:
i. the eastbound carriageway, from a point 140 metres east of the J7 exit slip road, to a point 200 metres west of the J10 entry slip road;
ii. the westbound carriageway, from a point 140 metres east of the J10 exit slip road, to a point 160 metres west of the J7 exit slip road.
The restrictions are expected to be in place during a continuous period starting at 20:00 on
Tuesday 11 October 2022 and ending at 05:00 on Tuesday 10 January 2023. However, works may start and continue during subsequent continuous periods or until completed. The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
