The County Of Cumbria (Footpath No. 214026 In The Parish Of Bowness-On-Solway) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria County Council to carry out refurbishment works to the footpath ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx. 757 metre section of Public Footpath No. 214026 at Port Carlisle in the Parish of Bowness-on-Solway, between Grid References: 324230 561949 and 324681 561356.

There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians. The Order will come into operation on 1 October 2022 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 2 weeks.
