NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Surrey House, 34 Eden Street NCP Car Park, St James Road Former Hippodrome And Bo Concept, The Roundhouse 20 Eden Street, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 1ER


Hathaway Opportunity Fund General Partners has applied to the Royal Borough of Kingston for planning permission for:

Application under S73 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 to carry out development without compliance with condition 1 (Approved plans) of Planning Permission ref: 20/02495/FUL (Full planning application for the demolition of Surrey House, Multi Storey Car Park (MSCP), Hippodrome and Bo Concept and the erection of 2(two) Office buildings [Use Class - E(g)(i)] Building A and Building B: Building A 9 storeys (22,144 (GEA) sqms) Building B 11 storeys (11,587 (GEA) sqms). The erection of a replacement multi storey car park of 354 spaces plus cycle parking (for use as a public car park at weekends) landscaping, public realm upgrades, servicing, pedestrian and vehicular access. This application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement dated 02/12/2021 and EIA compliance letter.

The proposed amendments relate to Building C (Car Park) only and comprise the following Change from steel to post-tension concrete slab; Steel frame/grid to pre-cast concrete frame/grid; revised car park layout; building heights increased to accommodate split deck car park format; amendments to the flood prevention strategy; enlargement of proposed green wall; plant to be relocated to ground floor; removal of basement from the MSCP scheme; concrete framing; rationalised vehicular and pedestrian entrances and circulation; reduction of roof landscape deck; increased bicycle storage provision and re-use of existing structure and disassembly methodology improved.

This application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement.

This application is a Major Development accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The proposed development would affect the setting of Listed Building(s)/ Conservation Areas.
