Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended -

(a) The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and

(b) The Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to

* introduce/extend double yellow line 'at any time' waiting restrictions for certain lengths in the vicinity of the following locations:-

* Blake Close, Carshalton outside and opposite Admiral Court;

* Bridge Road, Wellington outside No. 2b;

* Church Road, Wallington on its western side either side of Lych Gate;

* Clifton Road, Wallington outside Nos.13 and 15;

* Garden Close, Wallington outside Nos. 3 to 9;

* Hallmead Road, Sutton outside Nos.14 and 16;

* Kingswood Drive, Sutton outside Nos. 1, 2 to 4, 14, 32, 31 to 35 and on its western side;

* Morton Gardens, Wallington adjacent to Nos. 45 and 47 Demesne Road;

* Nettlecombe Close, Sutton outside Nos. 1, 26 and 27, 56 to 64, adjacent to Nos. 28,182 to 200, to the rear of Nos. 162 and 180 Brighton Road and Nos. 29 and 30 Dunsbury Close

* Prince of Wales' Road, Sutton outside Nos 61 to 69 and adjacent to Edinburgh House;

* Rose Hill, Sutton outside No. 50 and Nos. 54 to 60;

* Shap Crescent, Carshalton outside Nos. 10 and 12 in place of a free footway parking bay; and

* Tabor Gardens, Cheam outside Nos. 45 to 53, and opposite No. 47;

* introduce single yellow line operating "no waiting operating throughout the week midnight to 7.30am" in Wealdstone Road, Sutton opposite Nos. 6 and 8;

* introduce a limited time parking bay operating "Monday to Saturday between 7am and 5pm maximum stay 1 hour no return within 2 hours" in Rose Hill, Sutton outside Nos. 18 to 40;

* introduce a limited time parking bay operating Monday to Saturday operating between "8am and 6.30pm maximum stay 20 minutes no return within 2 hours" in Blenheim Road, Sutton adjacent to No. 67 Sutton Common Road;

* introduce a loading bay in place of existing double yellow lines in Church Road, Wallington on its eastern side adjacent to Lych Gate; and

* to amend the map-based tiles to the schedule attached to The Sutton (Charged for Parking Places) Order 2017 and to The Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 2017 to match conditions as they exist on site.

3. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council's Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.
