To be approved as a venue for civil marriages and civil partnerships
We of the London Borough of Hounslow Registration Service Apply to the Council of the London Borough of Hounslow for approval of Syon House and the Great Conservatory, Syon Park as a venue for Civil Marriages/Civil Partnership Under the above Acts as premises have been approved for the solemnization of marriage in pursuance of section 26(1) (bb) of the Marriage Act 1949 and for the registration of Civil Partnerships in pursuance of Section 6(3A) (a) of the Civil Partnerships Act 2004. The Marriage (Approved Premises) Regulations 1995 and civil partnership Act 2004 state that premises can be approved by the Council if in their opinion and amongst other things:
they are seemly, dignified and regularly available for civil marriages and civil partnerships, they have adequate fire precautions, and other appropriate safety precautions, they have no recent, or continuing connection with any religion, which is incompatible with the use of the premises as a venue for civil marriages and civil partnerships. Any person wishing to see the application and plans of the premises may do so at the Superintendent Registrar's office, at the above address during its normal working hours. Objections to this Application must be made in writing stating the reasons for objections to the Proper Officer at the above address and must be received within twenty-one days of the date of this publication.
