Wylam Waggonway, Temporary Public Right of Way Closure

Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) Parish Of Wylam Public Footpath No 18 & Wylam Waggonway (Temporary Public Right Of Way Closure) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Wylam Public Footpath No 18 and part of the Wylam Waggonway, in the County of Northumberland.
The length of Public Footpath No 18 and Wylam Waggonway affected are as follows:-
Parish of Wvlam Public Footpath No 18 From a point at the south-eastern end of the U8234 road (Woodcraft Road) in a general south-easterly and south-westerly direction for a distance of 120 metres to a point on the Wylam Waggonway, 245 metres north-east of Hagg Bank Bridge.
From the junction with Public Footpath No 9 at the eastern end of Hagg Bank Bridge in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 900 metres over the Wylam Waggonway to join Public Bridleway No 20 immediately south of Stephenson's Arms.
There is an alternative route for Wylam Waggonway from the junction with Public Footpath No 9 at the eastern end of Hagg Bank Bridge in a general westerly direction over Hagg Bank Bridge then continuing in a general easterly and northerly direction over Front Street, Hagg Bank, Wylam Wood Road and Station Road to join Public Bridleway No 20 immediately south of Stephenson's Arms.
The Order is to be effective from the 26th September 2022 until the 7th November 2022.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council in the interests of public safety to facilitate works associated with the resurfacing of Wylam Waggonway.
