(Mill Lane Area, Gilesgate, Durham) (20 Mph Speed Limit & Zone) Order 2016 (Amendment No.1) Order 2022

The Council on 9 September 2022 made an Order under Sections 81,82, 83 and 87 part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 "the Act"), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 22 September 2022 and is to a. amend Schedule 1, Item 8 of the order to correct an administrative error in the description of the restriction to read as follows:- Frank Street from the junction from Renny's Lane in a southerly direction to a point 7 metres north of its junction with A181 Front Street, Gilesgate b. to revoke schedule 2 of the order in its entirety. Full details are contained in the Order, a copy of which may be inspected via the Council website and at Belmont Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 15 September 2022 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
