(Durham City North East) (Parking And Waiting Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2015 (Amendment No. 1) Order 2022

The Council on 9 September 2022 made an Order under Sections 1, 2,4, 32 and 35 and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 "the Act"), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 22 September 2022 and is to introduce 'No waiting and No loading/Unloading At any time' restrictions on: a. the road leading from Freeman's Place to The Sands Multi Story Car Park from its junction with Freemans Place on both sides of the carriageway for 30 metres in a south easterly direction b. the road leading from Freeman's Place to the Durham Sixth Form Delivery Entrance from its junction with Freemans Place on both sides of the carriageway for 93 metres in a south easterly direction c. the one-way road leading from Freeman's Place to Walkergate, from its junction with Freeman's Place, on both sides of the carriageway for 95 metres in a north easterly direction. To introduce a 'Loading only' bay on: the one-way road leading from Freeman's Place to Walkergate, in the layby 34 metres north-east of its junction with Freeman's Place for 32 metres in a north easterly direction. All other existing restrictions in this locality will remain unchanged. Full details are contained in the Order, a copy of which may be inspected via the Council website and at Durham Clayport Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 15 September 2022 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
