Notice Of Confirmation Of An Order Public Path Diversion And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980, Wildlife And Countryside Act

The Oxfordshire County Council, Caversfield Footpath No. 1 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2022

On 12th September 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting:-

Caversfield FP 1 running from OS Grid Ref SP 5874 2537 south-westwards for approximately 69m to SP 5868 2533 and westwards for approximately 23m to SP 5866 2533 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 5874 2537 west-south-westwards for approximately 32m to SP 5871 2536, south-south-westwards for approximately 30m to SP 5870 2533, and westwards for approximately 47m to its junction with Fringford Road at SP 5865 2533, as show on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 15th September 2022 make an application to the High Court.
