Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Parish of Bishop's Hull Temporary Closure of Gipsy Lane

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Gipsy Lane - from the junction with Lavender Grove to the junction with Mountway Road for a total distance of 132 metres.

This Order will enable Open Reach safe access to install a box and new duct, possible excavation required. The Order becomes effective on 15th September 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 19th September 2022 and last until 23rd September 2022 between the hours of 08:00 -18:00 for a total of 5 days. Please visit
