HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS
IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BOREHAMWOOD, ELSTREE, BUSHEY AND
BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”),
except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on
both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Gregson Close, Borehamwood from its junction with Studio
Way westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 139m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be
maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. the access road leading to ‘Kendall Court’, Borehamwood from its junction
with Gregson Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. the access road leading to ‘Celia Johnson House’, Borehamwood from
its junction with Gregson Close north westwards for a distance of
approximately 12m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Boreham Holt, Elstree from its junction with Links Drive
north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. that length of Canterbury Road, Borehamwood from its junction with
Stratfield Road north westwards to its junction with Aberford Road, a distance
of approximately 118m.
An alternative route will be via Stratfield Road, Brook Road and Aberford Road.
6. that length of Kenilworth Close, Borehamwood from its junction with
Kenilworth Drive north eastwards, eastwards, westwards and northwards
for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. that length of Grace Close, Borehamwood from its junction with Denham
Way south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately
76m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. that length of Elmwood Avenue, Borehamwood from its junction with
Furzehill Road north eastwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road, Oakwood Avenue and
Cardinal Avenue.
9. that length of Carrington Avenue, Borehamwood from its junction with the
service road fronting Nos.148-170 Furzehill Road south eastwards, south
westwards and north westwards to its junction with Masefield Avenue,
a distance of approximately 478m.
An alternative route will be via the service road fronting Nos.148-170 Furzehill
Road and Masefield Avenue.
10. the service road fronting Nos.148-170 Furzehill Road, Borehamwood
from its junction with Furzehill Road south westwards and north westwards
for a distance of approximately 32m.
An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road, Milton Drive and the service
road fronting Nos.148-170 Furzehill Road.
11. that length of Masefield Avenue, Borehamwood from its junction with
Carrington Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.
An alternative route will be via Carrington Avenue, the service road fronting
Nos.148-170 Furzehill Road and Masefield Avenue.
12. the road leading to No.45 and No.47 Crown Road, Borehamwood from
its junction with Crown Road north westwards and south westwards for its
entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
13. that length of Hollygrove, Bushey from its junction with Little Bushey Lane
south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
14. that length of Florida Close, Bushey Heath from its junction with
California Road south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
15. that length of Woburn Close, Bushey from its junction with Coldharbour
Lane south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
16. that length of Albany Close, Bushey from its junction with Wayside Avenue
south eastwards, north eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and
south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
17. that length of Coombe Road, Bushey from its junction with Garratts
Road north eastwards to its junction with Ivinghoe Road, a distance of
approximately 192m.
An alternative route will be via Garratts Road, Richfield Road, Little Bushey
Lane, Chiltern Avenue and Ivinghoe Road.
18. that length of Ivinghoe Road, Bushey from its junction with Coombe Road
north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
19. that length of Garratts Road, Bushey from its junction with Coombe Road
south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m.
An alternative route will be via Coombe Road, Ivinghoe Road, Chiltern Avenue,
Little Bushey Lane, Richfield Road and Garratts Road.
20. that length of Kimble Crescent, Bushey from its junction with Coombe
Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via Garratts Road and Kimble Crescent.
21. that length of Paynesfield Road, Bushey from its junction with A409
Heathbourne Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with
Magnaville Road, a distance of approximately 194m.
An alternative route will be via A409 Heathbourne Road and Magnaville Road.
22. that length of Woodstock Road, Bushey from its junction with Montacute
Road south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 October 2022 for a period of
up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at
the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GONVILLE AVENUE, CROXLEY GREEN)
ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit
all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gonville Avenue, Croxley Green
from a point in line with the western boundary of No.36 Gonville Avenue north
eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Gonville Avenue, A412 Watford Road and
Gonville Avenue.
The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed
to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 October 2022 for a period of
up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at
the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN BUSHEY AND WATFORD)
ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
1. the A41 northbound slip road leading onto the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1
(junction 5) roundabout, Bushey from its junction with the northbound
carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue north westwards to its junction
with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout, a distance of
approximately 551m.
An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/Otterspool Way/
North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), the A41 The Dome
roundabout, A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way) and
the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout.
2. the A41 northbound slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway
of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, Bushey from its junction with the
A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout north westwards to its
junction with the northbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne
Way, a distance of approximately 420m.
An alternative route will be via the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5)
roundabout, A41 Otterspool Way, the B462 Hartspring Lane/A41 Tylers Way
roundabout and A41 (North Western Avenue/Otterspool Way).
3. the A41 southbound slip road leading onto the southbound carriageway
of A41 Otterspool Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson
Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout south westwards and south eastwards to its
junction with the southbound carriageway of A41 Otterspool Way, a distance
of approximately 366m.
An alternative route will be via the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5)
roundabout, A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue),
the A41 The Dome roundabout and A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western
Avenue Colne Way/ Otterspool Way).
4. the A41 southbound slip road leading onto the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1
(junction 5) roundabout, Watford from its junction with A41 North Western
Avenue Colne Way north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with
the A4008 Stephenson Way/ M1 (junction 5) roundabout, a distance of
approximately 426m.
An alternative route will be via A41 Otterspool Way, the B462 Hartspring Lane/
A41 Tylers Way roundabout, A41 North Western Avenue and the A4008
Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 October 2022 for a period of
up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at
the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ELSTREE & BOREHAMWOOD
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.029) ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
pedestrians from using Elstree & Borehamwood Public Footpath No.029 from
its junction with Cowley Hill south westwards to its junction with Stanborough
Avenue (“the Public Footpath”), a distance of approximately 120m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Cowley
Hill, the footway situated on the west side of B5378 Cowley Hill, the footpath
situated to the rear of Nos.14-36 Redwood Rise, the footpath fronting Nos.60-
98 Stanborough Avenue and the footway situated on the east side of
Stanborough Avenue.
The Order is needed because foul sewer connection works are proposed to be
executed on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 September 2022
for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only
take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPRINGWELL LANE, MILL END) ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit
all vehicular traffic from using that length of Springwell Lane, Mill End from its
junction with A412 Uxbridge Road south eastwards for a distance of
approximately 94m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A412 (Uxbridge Road/Denham Way), Old
Uxbridge Road, Coppermill Lane, Park Lane, Rickmansworth Road, Hill End
Road and Springwell Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telephone pole is
proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 September 2022
for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall
only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS
IN CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the
following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the
eastbound carriageway of A404 Rickmansworth Road into the M25 northbound
slip road, Chorleywood whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via A404 Rickmansworth Road, the M25,
the A412 Denham Way/Long Lane roundabout and the M25.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from
the westbound carriageway of A404 Rickmansworth Road into the M25
northbound slip road, Chorleywood whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via A404 (Rickmansworth Road/Chenies Road/
Amersham Road/Chalfont Station Road/White Lion Road/Stanley Hill),
A413 (London Road East/ Amersham Road/London Road/Gravel Hill/Amersham
Road), A40 Oxford Road, the M40 and the M25.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be
executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2022
for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall
only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VERULAM PASSAGE, WATFORD) ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit
all vehicular traffic from using that length of Verulam Passage, Watford from its
junction with Station Road south westwards for a distance of approximately
119m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are
being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because highway improvement works are proposed
to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 September 2022
for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only
take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

ORDER NO.2 2022
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit
all vehicular traffic from using that length of Deadmans Ash Lane, Sarratt from
its junction with Sarratt Public Footpath No.013 north eastwards to its
junctions with Bottom Lane, a distance of approximately 248m (“the Road”),
except for access.
An alternative route will be via Deadmans Ash Lane, Dimmocks Lane,
The Green, Red Lion Lane and Bottom Lane.
The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be
executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 September 2022
for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only
take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
