(C76 Bollihope Burn Bridge, Frosterley) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022
The Council on 2/9/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1)) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 50metre length of C76 between the junctions at either side of Bollihope Burn Bridge, Frosterley to enable bridge maintenance works to be undertaken An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the north eastern side of the closure from C76 northerly to A689 at Frosterley, then westerly along A689 to Stanhope and southerly on B6278 to the junction with C76 to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 12/9/2022 and are anticipated to be completed in 7 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
