DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) 2022 SMITHFIELD ROAD, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
SMITHFIELD ROAD
From a point 85 metres west of its junction with Ullswater Avenue westwards to a point 30 metres east of its junction with Gainsborough Court. An alternative route will be signed via Neasham Road, Parkgate, Park Place, Clifton Road, Henderson Street and vice versa. The Order is necessary to allow works to the rail bridge.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 10th October 2022, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 2 weeks.
