Wiltshire, Various Temporary Road Closures and Footpath Diversion

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Castle Street (Part), Salisbury; from its roundabout junction with A36 for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Network Rail infrastructure Ltd to carry out railway bridge survey and associated works.
Alternative route northbound via A36 - A338 - St Johns Street - Catherine Street
- New Canal - High Street - Silver Street - Minister Street -Castle Street (unaffected length). Alternative route southbound via Castle Street (unaffected length) - Blue Boar Row -Winchester Street- Brown Street - St Anns Street - Exeter Street - A338 - A36.
This Order will come into operation on 06 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 for 1 night.

B) C298 (Part), West Tisbury; from its property known as Pyt Court to outside its property known as Park House to enable BT to carry out pole and associated works.
Alternative route via C298 (unaffected length) - C61 - C300 - C299 - C43 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day.

C) Sherfield English Road (Part), Landford; from outside its property known as Lyndale to outside its property known as Broad Oak to enable BT to carry out communication, maintenance and associated works.
Alternative route via Sherfield English Road (unaffected length)
- Pound Hill - Church Lane - Giles Lane - A36 and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 03 October 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 23:59 until 14 October 2022.

D) C10 (Part), Wylye and Steeple Langford; from its junction with Dinton Road, Wylye to its junction with Duck Street, Steeple Langford to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works.
Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) - C283 - A36 -A303 - C10 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 13 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day.

E) Winchester Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Blue Boar Road to its junction with Rollestone Street to enable Virgin Media to carry out clearing of communication equipment in carriageway and associated works.
Alternative route via Endless Street - Salt Lane -Rollestone Street and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 12 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night.

F) Hamilton Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Marlborough Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
Alternative route via Marlborough Road - Wyndham Road - Castle Street and vice versa.
This Order which previously came into operation on 11 July 2022 will now recommence on 16 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 21 September 2022.

Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order F) has a maximum duration of 18 months.
The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION
AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS
ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
Wiltshire Council Parish of Collingbourne Ducis Unrecorded Restricted Byway (to be recorded as Path No.42) Diversion Order and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2022
The above named Order, confirmed as made on 18th August 2022 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will have the effect of diverting the restricted byway currently unrecorded in the definitive map and statement , at Sunnyhill Down, Collingbourne Ducis from its current position leading from its southern junction with path no.21 at OS grid reference SU 2447-5128 leading broadly north north east across Sunnyhill Down and the A.342 to its junction with path no.19 at SU 2461-5185 (with a width of 5 - 7.5 metres, approximate length 580 metres) to an alternative route leading from its southern junction with path 21 and path North Tidworth 11 at SU 2446 - 5182 leading broadly north to its junction with path no.19 at Sunnyhill Dairy , south of the A.342 at SU 2442-5168, with a width of 5 metres , approximate length 405 metres.
The order will alter the Pewsey Rural District Council definitive map and statement dated 1952 accordingly.

The order comes into force fully when Wiltshire Council certifies that the work required in Part 2 of the Schedule to the order has been completed to its satisfaction ,but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 8th September 2022 make an application to the High Court.
