ST. HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) -SECTION 14(11 THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (SOUTHERN GATEWAY. ST HELENS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING. PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLSTS. NO WAITING AND BUS LANE SUSPENSION) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that:
1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along the roads listed in schedule 1, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
2. No person shall cause or permit any pedestrian to proceed in either direction along the roads listed in schedule 1, as and when directed by road traffic signs on site.
3. No person shall cause or permit any pedestrian to proceed in either direction along the roads listed in schedule 1, as and when directed by road traffic signs on site.
4. When directed by road traffic signs on site the bus lanes will be suspended along the roads listed in schedule 2.
5. No person shall cause or permit and vehicle to wait on the roads listed in schedule 1.

The Order will come into force on Monday 12'" September, 2022, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate highway maintenance works to improve walking and cycling.
