TEST VALLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended) Statement of Community Involvement in Planning (SCI) 2022 Test Valley Borough Council has published for public participation its draft Statement of Community Involvement in Planning (SCI) 2022 and is inviting representations between Friday 2 September and Friday 28 October. The purpose of the SCI is to set out the consultation measures that the Council will undertake when consulting on planning policy documents and publicising planning applications. The SCI complements the Council's broader commitment contained within its Corporate Plan with regards to promoting positive community engagement with local communities, businesses and interest groups. The preparation of an SCI is a legal requirement and once adopted, the Council needs to be consistent with its content. The Council's current SCI 2017 will reach its five year anniversary of adoption at the end of 2022, a review has been undertaken and an updated draft SCI is published for public consultation. The SCI will apply to the whole of Test Valley outside of the New Forest National Park. A copy of the draft SCI document, is available on the Council's website www.testvalley.gov.uk and is available for public inspection at the following Council offices between the hours of 08.30 and 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 16.30 on Friday: Beech Hurst, Weyhill Road, ANDOVER, Hampshire, SP10 3AJ, and Former Magistrates Court, Church Street, ROMSEY, Hampshire, SO51 8AQ It is also available during library opening times at local libraries at Andover, Romsey, North Baddesley, Chandler's Ford and Lordshill.
