Ireleth Road Askam-In-Furness, Temporary Traffic Order

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U60II IRELETH ROAD, ASKAM-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Rail to carry out level crossing works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U 6011 Ireleth Road, Askam-in-Furness, from its junction with A595 Dalton Road, extending for approx. 30m to its junction with U6011 Duke Street.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the U6011 Duke Street, U6315 Alexander Place, U6107 New Road and Lots Road and A595 Dalton Road. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
2. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and
3. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email
quoting the reference BAR/9/2. The Order will come into operation on 6 September 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required from 2300 hours on 6 September 2022 until 0535 hours on 8 September 2022, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
