Meadowcroft Swindon, Implementation of Pedestrian Crossing
Notice ID: MFN0674164
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL IMPLEMENTATION OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
Notice is hereby given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to introduce a zebra crossing on Meadowcroft, between Davenwood and Snowdon Place. The site was assessed as part of the Annual Pedestrian Crossing Review 2020/21 and was identified as a site that would benefit from improved pedestrian crossing facility provisions, predominantly due to the collision history; high volume of vulnerable road users and the resultant level of conflict with the volume of passing motor traffic. Note - 'Zig Zag' markings will be installed at either side of the crossing, as shown on the Public Notice Plan, which will prohibit stopping on the approaches and exits to the crossing. A plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected online at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders Representations to the proposed crossing should be made by completing the consultation form which can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders under 'Stage 7 - Road Humps and Pedestrian Crossings by no later than 23 September 2022. Any representation received will form part of a public record which may be made publicly available.
